New, scratch
built bassman.

A few very cool
amps in for a thorough going through.

A peak at the
Jazz Classic prototype after a major design upgrade.

These are two
Ampeg B25B 50watt bass heads with a Fender Bassman cab sitting on top. I brought the two Ampegs up to speed with new tubes,
filter caps, and rebuilt BIAS circuits. The bassman came in for much the same work. If you can find a B25B, jump on it!!!

Circa 1959 German
Klempt Echolette M40 PA amp, driven by four EL84s -- absolute killer tone, but a true bear to work on! I have two of these
in for restoration.

See what I mean?
The Echolette is a challenge to re-cap and change other components -- really makes you appreciate the simplicity of a Fender
or Ampeg circuit board. But its worth the effort if you can get it right.

See what I mean?
This is a scratch-built '55 Tweed Princeton commission project. Added a stby switch and external speaker jack. Basically
a Champ with 10" speaker and a tone control. Very cool amp.
|

I scratch-built
the cabinet for the '55 Princeton on the left. Customer wanted to use an Ampeg handle. While I can build a pretty good looking
and sturdy cab, I really prefer to sub that out. I do have a local guy building fine champ cabs for me now. I will apply
the tweed and do the baffle board and grill cloth on the farm.
